"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
woke up this morning with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and have remained in a constant state of awe at the goodness of the Lord. I am truly grateful to a faithful and loving God for the blessing of a new year; grateful for the gift of my life, grateful for my amazing husband, our incredible children, family; Not to mention my parents, my mother in law, my siblings, my mentors and my friends who have become family, our beautiful home group and church family and all the men and women of God who pour into my life.
There are some aspects of developing an attitude of gratitude that only come from walking through struggles. Difficulties are not meant to be roadblocks in your life—God wants to use them to transform you and make you more like Him! God's Word is filled with many reminders of how powerful and vital a thankful heart can be in this world.
t helps us to recognize we have so much to be thankful for, even all of the little things, which often we may forget to thank Him for...but they really are the biggest, most important things in this life. It takes our attention off of our problems and helps us instead to reflect on, to remember, the goodness of His many blessing. It reminds us that God is the Giver of all good gifts. We were never intended to be fully self-sufficient in this life.
A grateful heart reminds us that ultimately God is our Provider, that all blessings and gifts are graciously given to us by His hand.A heart of gratitude leaves no room for complaining. For it is impossible to be truly thankful and filled with negativity and ungratefulness at the same time.
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Ps. 100:4-5
"There is nothing greater you can say to God than thank you" Maya Angelou.
You probably don't have everything you want, but you do have your life and your thank you, release your gratitude. So Thank God for this day He has made! Thank Him for the breath in your lungs, thank Him for your family, and thank Him for saving you! I pray that we have a heart of gratitude - have an absolutely fabgratitude day!!! 💞💕💖💗
